Our comprehensive youth program is a complete system of self defence and character development that will benefit your child now and in future endeavours.
We break our Youth program into six separate programs based on age and skill set so that your children feel comfortable and progress at their level, which is important so that they don't feel overwhelmed.
3 & 4 YEARS OLD
Our introduction to Jiu Jitsu for our youngest members is a game based curriculum focused on mobility, agility and foundational movements they will need later in their journey.Â
The key here is FUN, we want their first interaction with the mats to be so much fun they look forward to coming back, what they see as fun we filter in as subliminal learning, how to work in a group, wait their turn, follow instruction and understand structure.
5 Years Old ProgramÂ
Our technical journey starts here, we have distilled Jiu Jitsu down to 10 of the most fundamental areas which we begin teaching at 5 years old, we add more structure and a focus on discipline. We introduce working together with partners to practice the techniques and to encourage comfort is uncomfortable scenarios.Â
6 - 9 Years old
Jiu Jitsu at this age is important many children at this age group start to have their first experiences with bullies and other social difficulties. Our character development tools, verbal Jiu Jitsu and increased exposure to techniques and sparring help prepare your child to have the confidence to defend themselves verbally, knowing that they can remain safe if an altercation turns physical.
9 to 13 Years Old Program
In this program, we focus on 36 self-defense techniques that teach children to “neutralize and negotiate” with the bullies. Verbal assertiveness strategies are a major portion of this curriculum. A child needs absolutely no experience to start, and we guarantee a noticeable increase in your child’s confidence within a few weeks!
